Has anyone not been to triage yet for reduced movements? I see a lot of people on here and social media who visit triage and I worry I am not being careful enough or noticing reduced movements..

Went 3 times in first pregnancy but not been once in 2nd pregnancy

I went once in first pregnancy and none this second time.
I think as long as you feel movement and if you haven’t in a while try some OJ and that starts things going it’s fine.

I've been twice before 27 weeks. I have an anterior placenta. After 28 weeks I feel baby more.

I feel the same! I was speaking to my partner about this last night, I’m 32 weeks with first child and I haven’t been yet, and now I’m second guessing if I’m being cautious enough! I am going off if I feel them in 24 hours then it’s fine, but I’m going to be extra wary now I think

Only went once in my first pregnancy and once in this, I only went this time as I had a fall then she wasn’t moving as much as I liked if I hadn’t of fallen I wouldn’t of probably gone x

I went once quite late on in my first pregnancy (was literally like 36 weeks)- nothing was wrong all, apart from me being a little dehydrated. Was in and out in a couple of hours.
Been to the early pregnancy unit once this pregnancy for bleeding and was just an infection. Not had any more issues yet, *touch wood*.

I’ve actually never been to triage, not during my first pregnancy and not with this one either. I honestly think a lot of the time reduced movements are just part of a baby’s natural pattern.
(It seems unreasonable to me to expect a baby to produce the same movements every day like a machine with a timer - not to mention the kick counter mobile apps..)
They’re little humans, after all, just like us. Some days they’re more active, other days they’re a bit lazier.
I also think it depends on how much energy the mum has, since we’re so connected to them. I don’t really worry if there’s a quieter day or two, as long as I can still feel some little movements.

Never in either pregnancy

I've been once as I didn't feel the baby move in 24 hours, it was just after the RSV jab and I was feeling a little under the weather as a result so I figured it was just affecting the baby too. I'd mentioned to my midwife a few weeks before that sometimes the baby doesn't really move in compassion to what I normally feel and I basically got nicely told off for not going to triage, so after no movements in 24 hours I decided to go in. Turns out the baby was just being lazy and the criteria was met within 20 minutes.
