Exercise

Are you exercising in the first trimester? I don’t want to stop entirely but am feeling so nauseous most of the time.

Hey! How far along are you? I’m 5 weeks 3 days and I’m currently training for a marathon. So running 40-50k a week, I do feel tired but I would already be exhausted anyway haha

@Alex im 6 weeks and 4 days, it’s only in the last 3/4 days that its really hit me!

Yes but I’m checking my heart rate on runs, don’t go over 160. Would love to know how safe exercise in first trimester is though 🤷‍♀️ i previously had a miscarriage so super nervous about everything!

@Alex that’s super impressive 👏👏 I’m doing a half marathon in May & deffo should be putting more miles in x

@Sam I do the same, just stopped all speed sessions. Apparently if you did it before, you are fine to still do it. It’s only if you wasn’t a runner and then you all of a sudden starting running when pregnant for example. So hard not to worry though

I am still running and lifting weights. Luckily I don’t have nausea (yet) but have dropped mileage a bit and am running slower intentionally to keep HR under control

I am doing yoga 4/ 5 times a week - adapted to first trimester, cycling, Latin dance, slow adapted HIIT with 5kg only - as I feel it in terms of it taking a lot out of me. I am 6 weeks 3 days. I will remain fit and active throughout this pregnancy though. It's my lifestyle.

I honestly stopped but intentioned to start again on the second trimester with some yoga and dance classes. I used to do Muay Thai and weights but my doctor has told me that these 2 activities are not good in pregnancy. So I am trying to find something else. For the meantime, I am just having long walks
