Is Disney World worth it?

We're considering doing Disney in a couple years. I feel like it's a racket but I also feel like my daughters would love it. We're in Ohio so it would be a big trip that we need to save up for. Anyone who's gone have any tips/tricks/know where to find the best deals?

I grew up going to Disney World with my grandparents and can definitely say it’s worth it! I would sign up for their emails and keep an eye out for any promotions they are offering. Usually their best deals are during the slow season (late winter/early spring). My husband and I went last year around that time and it wasn’t too terribly expensive, but we chose to stay at a nearby hotel instead of the Disney resorts to save a little money. We also used Uber to get to the parks which was cheaper than paying for parking. You could look for a travel agent to help you book everything and get the best deals. I know AAA used to offer member discounts if you booked through them.

Ocean Florida is a good place to keep an eye on deals even the Disney website themselves as well. Best thing to do is include a dinning plan that covers breakfast, lunch and dinners even snacks which can be used at certain restaurants in the parks… pm me if you’d like more info I have a lot more to add x

We are big Disney fans so it’s 100% worth it

Yes. I might be biased as it will be my 6th time in August. I would research before you go ie rides you want to go on and wait times. That said Epcot is a better park for princesses and has the frozen ride.

I went a few times a kid and loved it! We want to take ours but when our youngest is a bit older

@Harley thanks! We do have AAA so I'll check that out too.

@Karen thanks. I'm sure they will want allll the princesses.

I personally like Disneyland more. I know has tickets but idk how they compare

I used to go multiple times a year when I was little because Florida residents get big discounts BUT now it is insanely expensive even for Florida residents. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price tbh but I’m also broke lol

I say when kids hit about seven/eight, it’s more worth it. We went with our three kids but my two youngest ones were five and under, it wasn’t fun for my oldest who was about ten and the little ones were over waiting in the humidity. If you do go, go in October or November. It’s cooling off a bit by then and you could see their holiday stuff they do. Edited to say that my ten year old didn’t have much fun because of the smaller kids lol he had a blast at universal when it was just my husband, myself and him.

@Maddy that would require us to fly. Florida is far but doable in a day. I think we'd probably end up wanting to drive. We never fly anywhere 😅

Oh okay, I didn’t even think about that!(I don’t do long car rides lol)

We go every year! Love Disney and universal! We will be back again this year for the new Mario world! Definitely a place to go once. But it’s really really expensive. There’s way you can budget!

I say it depends on the age of the children and when you’re going. I don’t suggest going during the summer it’s waayyy too hot and overcrowded. I’ve been there from September to February. It’s not as hot, people don’t go as much so not that many crowds as it’s not spring or summer break time.

So I'm originally from Ohio and my family along with our aunt and grandparents came with us to Disney world when we were younger and it was one of best experiences! We drove down bc were not a flying family lol. But I was only like 6 I think and I still remember it very vividly. One of the best family trips we ever taken. 🥰
