BIG SAME. Literally could go without deodorant before. Now, I feel like I apply it 4 times a day and still stink.
@Alexis 4 times? You’re lucky! I feel like I could get through a can of deodorant a day! 😅😅 its just so unlike me, even at the gym, I never smelt bad!
@Gemma hubs tried to be nice; but I know he can smell me LOL
It’s PP pheromones. Baby’s eyesight is weak but their smell is strong so they need to smell Mum, find their way to the boob easily like blind mice lol. And we are also sweating out all the extra water weight we’ve been carrying during pregnancy. So yes we stink lol. I showered twice a day for like 6m. Don’t use deodorant try an anti-perspirant, prevents sweating in the first place. Deodorant covers up the smell. I find the creams work well for underarms since I dance it helps me not to sweat (I still do heaps but the sweat doesn’t smell now that I’m like 5yrs pp) I think it lessened heaps at 6-7m pp
Its definitely a hormonal change, I used to sweat better never stank and now if I even remotely start sweating it’s rankkkk
This goes away once you stop breastfeeding. I was soooooo stinky for like over a year 🙈
That’s what the hormones do to you! I used to have very minimal BO. It was also more sweet-smelling and not very offensive. BUT during pregnancy and postpartum, O M G. Like ?? Who is this girl and where are these smells coming from?? I feel like I smell PUNGENT and no amount of showering can wash away this new scent 🥲 Also, this has lasted the full year PP and I am pregnant again. I guess I better get acquainted with this new odor 😭
Yes it’s normal it’s so your baby can smell you. Personally I’m not trying to cover it up/use deodorant, if you’re breastfeeding it’s so close to your baby’s face, can’t be good for them
Completely normal, and it DOES go don’t worry! I feel like I had a good few weeks feeling like I stank, but it died down for me as breastfeeding became more established (now been feeding for 13m and it hasn’t come back thankfully lol)
Very normal and definitely settles down. I'm now almost 8 months pp and still breastfeeding but I don't feel as though I need to shower 10 times a day now 😂 It's your post pregnancy and breastfeeding hormones so it's a completely different odor to usual sweat that you would get at the gym etc
I’ve been told it’s so your baby can smell you better, my bo has been way stronger since giving birth to
