Probably stop giving in & under no circumstances put the TV on outside of appropriate waking hours. It'll take 3-4 days but once he learns you won't give in he will stop. You just have to figure out a way to survive those few days. Good luck, I know how hard it is ❤️

Can you maybe get some spiderman books and use those as a compromise during the night? Do they still nap? Can you put a stair gate up?

Is he just thirsty maybe? Try giving some water and back to bed or even a little milk? My little one still wakes in the night regularly and usually we just give him milk and he goes straight back off (recently we’ve gone to leaving a bottle of water by his bed as he was getting ridiculous with milk again). A solid routine of expectations overnight will help. For mine, if he has 2 bottles of milk at bedtime he can’t have anymore, so he is offered his water and tucked back in. Or if he only had one at bedtime, I will give him the choice of milk or water and same again, a quick cuddle and tuck in. If he continues to cry I will go in and tell him it’s bedtime and to go to sleep, tuck in and leave. He knows the drill now. We occasionally have a rough night and sometimes I will get in bed with him because he doesn’t want me to go but this is rare. Sometimes he just needs me. We have a tonies box which he sleeps to as well for background noise. His choice if it is on. X

Be firm and don’t let him watch tv. It’ll just massively overstimulate him at that time of night. Could you temporarily set up a bed on his floor so when he comes in to your room you can take him back and settle him back in his own bed? Even if he’s awake let him look at stories and nod back off yourself!

I have a zeepy clock for my daughter. It goes yellow and the cat goes to sleep for night and blue and the cat wakes when morning. You set the time for bed and morning. I used it when my daughter was waking early and it works really well.
