Schedule for formula help?

Up until recently I exclusively breastfed my baby. Now as I’m preparing for going back to work and having family watch over her she’s been having bottles of formula once or twice a day. I’d like to increase this so she’s totally on formula within a month. My question is when do you feed in relation to naps? I used to feed her to sleep and I didn’t want her to go into a nap hungry so it lasted. But for example today she had a bottle of milk 1hr before nap time so I didn’t feed her for her nap but it meant there were a lot more tears and it made it harder for her to sleep. If she needs feeding every 3hours ish should that be before a nap or after? Sorry hope this makes sense but I think she’s used to having little and often with the breast so not sure exactly what a schedule for bottles looks like and don’t want to make loads and keep wasting them or her just snacking all day. Is her being more irritable just breaking the association with the boob? What does your schedule look like formula mums?

@Chloe mine never has more than 5oz in one go, has yours always had a good appetite?

I started off small when I introduced bottles she was still around 2/3 months old, she’d have my expressed breast milk. So I’d start with 6 oz per 3 hours and once she’s having all feeds on formula you can gradually increase the amount. My girl currently has 8oz in morning and at night then 7oz during the day and feeds every 4 hours. You can go every 3 hours whether it’s before or after a nap shouldn’t matter too much
