Heartbroken

Hey mamas, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart today. Back at the end of February, I found out during an ultrasound that I have complete placenta previa. I was hopeful that things might shift, but I just had another ultrasound and the technician told me flat-out that “there’s no way it’ll move at this stage.” I’m 28 weeks now — and hearing that hit me like a truck. I cried so hard this morning. This isn't the birth path I imagined. I've been planning for a natural, holistic experience, and this news feels like it’s pulling the rug out from under me. I know ultrasound techs aren’t the final word, but the way she said it made it feel so final. I’m struggling. Please — I’m looking for hope, advice, success stories, and any holistic approaches you might have tried if you were in a similar situation. Has anyone had a full previa move after 28 weeks? How did you cope or reframe your birth plan if it didn’t? Even if the outcome wasn’t what you expected — if you found peace, I’d love to hear how. Thank you for holding space. This crunchy mama’s trying to keep it together right now.

At 28 weeks? Naah your belly still has SO MUCH growing to do. I wouldn’t put much stock into what they said. Get an ultra sound real close to 40 weeks then see where the placenta is sitting. THEN that will determine your birth plan. You still have so many weeks to go. They love to fear monger. I swear they get off on it. But your belly isn’t done growing neither is your baby. Absolutely nothing within the system is mandatory. Get another ultrasound closer to, and pray. It’ll be ok!

Not the same thing, BUT I was told late term my breech baby wouldn’t flip for natural…. she flipped the morning I went into labor. The impossible is always possible! Best of luck to you!

I don't know if you have instagram, but there's a crunchy mama I follow who went through the same with her baby. I believe she compiled all her tips and information about what to do on her page. Here's the link https://www.instagram.com/life_as_saylor?igsh=cHE2N3BueDlxMzM1

@Stacie Thank you so much for this! It really helps ease my mind. I’ve been trying to stay calm and trust the process. I’ll definitely wait and see how things evolve closer to the end. Appreciate the encouragement!

@taylor Wow, that’s amazing! Thanks for sharing that, it gives me hope that things can still shift for the better.

@MaryElizabeth I'll definitely check her out, thank you so much!

@Tanya Ahh thank you! I’ll check that group out. Love hearing that there’s still time! Definitely helps calm the nerves a bit!
