Bad mood periods

For context I’ve got a 19 month old and we stopped breastfeeding around Christmas/ New Year time… Ever since then I’ve had absolutely awful moods during my period, especially first day. I feel low, angry for no reason and so irrationally irritated over everything. It’s so much worse than normal PMT. I’ve screamed and cried. I feel terrible for my partner because I’m a witch. My patience with little one is so thin which is so unlike me. Pain is next level too! Has anyone experienced this and how do you help it? I spoke to the doctors who just wanted to give me anti depressants but I’d much rather know the issue and deal with it as a whole and more holistically rather than just taking meds straight off the bat. Anyone? 😫

I'm here with you, since kids it's been awful and it's half the month I feel this way. I'm currently looking into it myself and most avenues point to diet and exercise.

I’ve had the same exact thing happen to me ever since I had my second baby in September. It also happened with my first. My doctor wanted to put me on anti-anxiety medication but I actually started working out regularly (cardio + strength training) 3-5 times a week and it made all the difference in the world.

I’m sure exercise / diet is the right way to go - but I don’t have time for that right now so I’ve gone back on the pill. It’s worked WONDERS for me!

And I don’t have periods so another win 😂
