@Emily at times I can press it flat.. I’m worried it continues to grow.
My daughter has one, her doctor said as she grows it’ll go away.
@Erica growth doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, it can happen with an umbilical hernia. I'd definitely see your child's doctor to be sure things are okay with it but don't worry too much, they're actually very common.
@Emily she had her 6 weeks vaccines yesterday and everything was such a blur I forgot to bring it up. Iykyk
@Imani okay, thank you. xx
I had a hernia , they thought they would have to possibly operate but eventually it went c
My daughter had one and it went completely away by 4 months
@Erica it happens lol don't stress about it, it'll go away and if not then it'll be dealt with. It's a very minor procedure if need be. ❤️
My little boy had one, he’s nearly 6 months now and it’s gone x
My son had one! It started small, got bigger and then went away around 4-5m old. I asked our pediatrician about it and they said as long as it -doesn’t cause baby pain, -doesn’t turn dark red or purple, -can be pushed back in with light pressure, then it is totally fine and just keep an eye on it, leave it alone and wait for baby to grow out of it.
@Brooke thank you so much for these..
hmm, my little one had a hernia too, and it did eventually go away on its own, but I'd definitely keep an eye on it and chat with your doc just to be safe! here's what the 'Heal App' says.... "It's understandable to feel concerned about your baby's hernia. Many babies do experience hernias, particularly umbilical hernias, which often resolve on their own by the time they reach 1 to 2 years old. However, it's essential to monitor the hernia for any changes, such as increased swelling, redness, or discomfort, as these could indicate complications. While many hernias do resolve naturally, it's always best to discuss your specific situation with a healthcare professional to ensure proper care and monitoring. Have you noticed any changes in your baby's hernia, or are there specific symptoms that are worrying you?"
They often go away within the first year. If its not hard or a discomfort its not a concern. They'll operate if it becomes hard(can be stragulation of the contents), painful or doesn't go away on it's own
