I find maternity clothes so ugly and unflattering! Is anyone else just buying 'normal' clothes in just a few sizes up or dresses with straps to tighten up as you grow? š

It depends where itās from. Shein have cute maternity clothes. The other shops are either too corporate, too frumpy/ugly, or size 8 is too big for me. I find cute maternity clothes on Shein and Boohoo and Pretty little things in their maternity section. I didnāt like sizing up coz then itās too loose in my shoulders.

I could never find cute maternity clothing, I also just size up.

I used to love buying clothes from Shein, especially because Iām quite petite and they have so many options for smaller frames that are actually true to size. Since I heard theyāre unregulated and contain high levels of chemicals, poisons and exceed heavy metal limits itās really put me off them! They also have the cutest baby clothes but again, donāt wanna risk it! Iāll check out PLT and bohoo for sure, didnāt know they also did maternity clothes. Ps. Despite my big bump, luckily most of my tops are stretchy and still fit me, but with some my belly sticks out like Whinny the Pooh! š

dress shops at my mall have the exact same dresses as shein for 4-5* the price. I bought a dress in store at my mall for a wedding once and it costed me $80, I saw the same dress a couple weeks later on shein for $20. So dress shops basically buy it in bulk from places like that (dropshipping) and put their prices on it. Iām not getting ripped off like that again. My whole wardrobe is from Shein and itās cute and affordable and have the styles that I actually like, not frumpy. Takes the headaches away of buying cute maternity clothes or normal dresses for me. I donāt buy baby clothes on there only for me.

I agree, the ones Iāve seen are so ugly especially the low waisted trousers with the pull up stretchy cloths! Dresses are my besties right now with summer coming up. I seem to be getting away with getting slightly baggy ones (still in small sizes) with the waist string straps that I can just adjust or small sizes but with stretchy material! Very flattering on the bump! Idea is they should still fit after the bump goes, so it wonāt be a waste of money!š¤š¼

UK laws should mean that clothes are tested and donāt exceed certain regulatory standards for toxic metals etc. but honestly so many major brands like H&M also have their clothes made in China with cheap labour and materials so I wouldnāt be surprised if itās all the same stuff! I would assume washing them off in high temperatures first would alleviate a lot of the crap too.
Ngl, I love my Shein clothes they fit like a glove and look so much nicer than most other clothes from major retailers Iāve purchased over the years, just scared as Iāve heard so much online!

I was lucky and didnāt even have to buy any new clothes other than a few for work as I work in a secondary school and lived in jumpsuits from 20 weeks lol, I Wud just buy things a size up or up a few my last pregnancy though where I carried twice as big xx

Iāve spent so much already, I love the way my bump looks in clothes! Yeah slightly bigger unless they have stretch or I can get away with getting smalls that I can just adjust!

Iāve only bought mat leggings and trousers. The rest Iām buying as usual for tops that are a bit flowy x

I havenāt bought any maternity clothes and Iām 32 weeks now! Iāve just been wearing things with stretch. The reoria dresses from Amazon and amazing and then Iāve got a lot of stuff from SHEIN too xx

I am buying normal clothes in bigger sizes for sure. But seraphine is also a nice maternity brand if you havenāt tried it get

just checked them out - beautiful clothes but prices are a bit steep. I need a sugar daddy first
