Feeling Deflated…
Had my CD11 scan today (my clinic doesn’t seem to scan before 9 or 10 days of stims) and while I have a couple of large follicles a lot are smaller or around the 12-13mm mark (I have 18 follicles in total).
We’ve been told to trigger tonight for retrieval on Wednesday, and do another Gonal F shot with the Cetrotide because of the follicles being smaller.
Aware that they still have another 42 hours or so of growing to do but I’m feeling deflated at the size of most follicles and concerned we won’t get many mature eggs.
Does anyone have any experience with smaller follicles producing mature eggs on retrieval day?

Hi Annabelle, first round- scanned day 10. Eggs too small and advised possible cycle could be abandoned. They extended me for 4 more days and I ended up triggering and retrieved 5 eggs. 2 were transferred and I got pregnant but sadly lost it. Currently on second round, scanned today (day 10) and they’ve done the same as eggs are not where they need to be. This time, extended me for 2 days on further meds. Scan again Wed… let’s see! I’m not hopeful but I’m at peace it with all now. There comes a time when I have to draw a line in the sand for the sake of my life too. X
