First time pregnant. Faint line second week of testing
Hi all,
This is my first pregnancy I’ve been TTC for almost a year. Was about to go down IVF route and fell pregnant naturally.
I took a test last week and it was positive, digitally and a strip with a medium line, not too dark. This put me at just under 4 weeks. I’ve taken another test today and the line is much fainter than last week.
Is this definitely a cause for concern? Has anyone else had this before and it’s turned out okay? I’m so worried. Going for a blood test today to check HCG.

Thanks for sharing. The strips are from the same box so I’m a little worried it’s lighter this week than last 😕 not sure if worrying for nothing

Did you take it first thing in the morning? First morning urine is recommended for the highest level of hcg for home tests. As you drink water throughout the day, it becomes more diluted. It could also just be that specific test/ a production error. The line is still *there* which is the good thing. Hold onto that line. Best of luck for your bloodwork.
