Does anyone have experience with heart murmur? My baby had a 2 month appt and the Pediatrician wants us to see a cardiologist to make sure there's no heart issues. I think it's an innocent murmur because weight gain and growth are great even the Pediatrician said so but made an appt with the cardiologist to make sure

Learn more about our guidelines. We experienced this when our baby girl was 2 months old. We eventually met with a cardiologist who assured us it’s nothing of concern. He noted that most babies may have non threatening murmurs that should go away as they get older.
It’s always good to do the checks..
My son had one but it went away by itself cause he had his after he was born but then it went away by itself and we’re still following up with a cardiologist because of me having a history of heart problems
I recommend doing the appointment and checking. Most are benign (nothing to worry about), but it's better to know now than risk something happening.
While my son doesn't have a murmur, I do, and by chance, when checking the murmur as an infant, they found a heart condition that I needed surgery for (completely recovered, no lasting issues, murmur isn't related to the condition, I still have a benign murmur).
My LO has a heart murmer. We followed up with the cardiologist who said he should outgrow it and the hole will close but even if it doesn't it won't affect him throughout his life in any way.
I've had a murmur my whole life. My son also had one at his two month check and is gone now at 5 months. It never hurts to get it more thoroughly checked just in case, but most are benign so try not to worry!
We only found out our boy had a heart murmur in hospital when he was battling a virus ( even though he passed all his checks the day we went home after birth, they said they can come and go without any signs) and they said he would grow out of it. On day 4 of the hospital stay (he was a month old at the time) they could no longer hear it. I also had one when I was a baby and I grew out of it too x
My first born had a heart murmur at his 8 week appointment. It eventually went away by the time he was 1.
Most heart murmurs and babies are normal because their body just hasn’t quite developed yet. My daughter had a murmur at her three month appointment and they closed up within a couple months. Murmurs are really only a concern when they find them in teenage years. My son who is three months old also has a hole in his heart which is normal and will close up as well.

My son had a murmur, got told nothing to worry about but check once a year (haven't done so). But when he gets sick and gets checked since then the doctors haven't mentioned anything
