@Alice it’s so hard I don’t want to get the most expensive because you think it will be better when some people say the cheaper ones are better it’s a minefield 🤣
@Lisa thank you
As long as you pick one with no palm oil in you’re good. Looking at that chart it seems it’s been removed from more formulas since my first! Plus babies can be picky so don’t bulk buy as you might go through a few brands before they settle
If you ask most health visitors they will say it’s all basically the same just a different label for marketing I used Aptamil with my 1st , sma with my second and going for cow n gate with my 3rd as that’s the easiest milk to get in the shops near me x
I think I will be going for sma again, did with my first one and had no issues, heard of too many digestive issues with Kendamil, I personally think old is gold in this case ie more evidence more development
I used kendamil with my first with no issues. Excellent milk, I like that it’s made using whole milk rather than semi skimmed or skimmed. X
I bought aptamil because I couldn't find the expiry date on the box for kendamil 🤦🏽♀️😂 we'll soon find out how the baby gets on. Also a relative gave birth to a baby a couple of months ago and she said the hospital supplied her with sma, so maybe I have been over cautious in packing milk
We used Cow & Gate with our first, and I’ll do the same if/when needed with the second.
Cow and gate because tbh it’s Al the same And it’s the cheapest
Hey, we used Kendamil organic with the first, then switched to goat as he had CMPA and whilst it wasn’t suitable it was better for him. A recent study found high levels of lead in Kendamil organic, not in the first stage infant formula though. But it put me off the brand. Plus they changed their formula to meet US standards so that they can overcome the shortage, and a lot of people have complained their babies no longer agree with the new formula I think I’m going for nannycare goat milk; whilst it’s so much more expensive, goat milk is closer to breast milk than cows milk and it has double the whole fat Kendamil goat milk has. It also has a minimal processing method. I’m still not 100% but so far I think that’s what I’m opting for. Best thing to do is read the ingredients of each of them. First listed is what they have higher amounts of. Some start with whey milk protein (which makes it a highly processed formula), then glucose syrup, and others don’t contain ..1/2
2/2 whey milk protein, and have glucose syrup for energy but much further down the ingredients list. Hope you find one you’re comfortable with! X
I’m the same! So undecided on what one to use x
