@Incognito how is your little one with it? I know people say to wait until they can comfortably sit upright/hold their head properly etc x
Totally fine. She recognises the spoon & opens her mouth now. She isn’t even 4 months old. At the start she would spit it out so I stopped and reintroduced and she’s totally ready! Usually feed her in her bouncy chair
@Incognito oh wow that’s amazing! How old was she when you first introduced it to her?
Personally we’ll be waiting until 6+ months as I know my boy isn’t ready; he’s not sitting independently, still has a bit of tongue thrust reflex, and is only just building his gag reflex.
I’ve been thinking about it with my little girl, she’s 4mo & 1 week. She’s showing pretty much all of the signs that’s she’s ready. You know your baby better than anybody else and you know when it’s the right time for your little one x
We have started giving our 4 month old around a teaspoon of banana puree once a day and she is coping fine! We have decided to only introduce one fruit/veggie at a time and give her 10 days on it before moving on to something else ☺️
@Jess you know him better than anyone!
Thanks guys for the advice! Xx
@Hana did you just start with banana puree or baby rice/porridge? xx
4 months and 3 days, he’s had baby porridge this morning and loved it I found it a bit thick when I made to the suggested ratio so added a little more water with it being his first try, I’m going to try him on the Ella kitchen sweet potato pouch tonight. He sits up well and had good head control.
Personally I have. I am giving fruit puree after evening bottle around 5pm (before bedtime bottle at 7) and porridge after morning bottle. Working well for us
