Yeah this time definitely isn't like the first time for me. And I don't think it's the three years older that I am, it's def the three year old.
Energy level I am up there even while pregnant, typically😆. As of Wednesday I started having light labor contractions (they're accompanied with menstrual like cramps as well as the deep ache that goes into thighs during the contractions) I've also started to dilate at the entrance of the cervix, I'm needing to calm my activity level down to calm the amount of contractions. My son who is currently 21 months (turns 2 just 3 days after Baby's due date) he is a whirlwind of energy. We have a lot of learning type toys, like peg puzzles, a VTech learning table, a book nook, a car mat, a bag of soft toys, a bag of mega blocks, a bag of musical instruments, learning flash cards that are good stock and he can't tear, different types of cars, a couple dozen hot wheels, as well as a hot weels powered track, a couple different balls, a push "car", for outside a water Activity table, a storage bin of just water filled half way he loves to just splash his arms in it, a bubble push mower, and chalk. Hope this helps.
I’m not 😂
My daughter is 3 years old and the past month and a half she’s been an emotional wreck . Throwing tantrums, yelling at me, telling me no, also being so sensitive. I’m trying to keep patience w her but she is absolutely pushing it w her outburst. It’s so different, she’s still my sweet, nice thoughtful girl but at any moment it can change . She’s like a teenager 😂😂😭😭
My son is 21 months & I’m working full time as a lead toddler teacher I’m exhausted. My back hurts, heartburn is awful, charlie horse ect I’m ready for end of June/early July to come😩 I hope he’s early
I've figure out some things with mine. She loves books and sticker books. Sometimes we also do play doh. She's very much into sorting things. Theres a Montessori type activity that involves her inserting objects into slots. She loves that. If all else fails and Im wiped out I put on Ms Rachel or Mikey Mouse Clubhouse. I try to keep that minimal but it happens. Montessori methods have a lot of diy activities that keep her busy for a while. When it's hot we do a toddler table outside. A bath will keep her entertained for a while.
I'm in the same boat! My girl is crazy active and likes to bounce and jump around and I just can't with her anymore. I'm a sahm too so trying to entertain her is getting very difficult lately. 😞 unfortunately I use tv time bc I just need a break, but I color with her, give her markers, chalk, legos. But you know how they are, they play for like maybe 5 mins then want something else to do 😅 if I'm feeling a better day, then ill go outside with her but I don't have a fence in yard so I have to be on top of her bc the road is right there. So usually that only lasts about an hour outside before I start to hurt all over haha I got to the chiropractor for back pain
@Beebs i have a Montessori toddler book i probably should actually read. Maybe there are some tips in there. Thank you for the advice! Water table is not as interesting this year as last for my son and unfortunately we do not have a bath tub. Just use the baby bath in the shower (need to upgrade or teach to shower because its getting too small as is)
@Lexus have you thought about getting a foldable dog pool? You could use it in the shower or take it outside to use as a pool.
Fatigue is getting me. I'm really trudging along but healthy and happy 🤗 and my toddler is teething her canines so that's a little rough but whatever, nothing we haven't dealt with before. I have to give myself a pep talk to get moving at least once a day though 😂
Wow I feel like I could have written this. 😩 pregnancy with a toddler is a marathon.
My boys are 2 and 3, idk what we were thinking 💀 I'm so tired lol
I'm so sorry! My daughter is almost 2. I work full-time and she attends daycare and I definitely think I have it easier than SAHMs.
