It's a tie between destroying objects (smashing a window/shattering a desk by throwing it against wall) or running ( out of building and towards the tracks with train actively on it)
My students made the news multiple times for things done in and out of school. Biggest would be awful fights where students had to be flown to shock trauma, stealing cars, assaulting teachers, creating videos…
The funnest non funny moment was a student (who JUST had arm surgery) made a b line across the street to the park . Thought he would outrun the SRO vehicle by throwing his Yeezy at it . He then cut into the grass towards the soccer fields thinking he got away ... NOPE SRO jumped that curb in her cruiser and drove on the fields 😅 he of course gave up after that
@Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 OML tell me you at least work at a highschool
I used to teach kindergarten at a title 1 school and have some wild stories lol I’ve been hit many times, chased with an umbrella, and had my classroom destroyed. To name a few. But my fav is my first year teaching I had this tough little girl. I asked her to do something and she told me to “sit my fat ass down and shut the fuck up”.
Definitely at high school. The school my friend works at had a stabbing at the kindergarten graduation. 🥴 The dad decided to bring his girlfriend… bad choice.
eloping out of the school, being bitten, kicked, hit, having my hair pulled, dealing with pee/poop in places it shouldn’t be, curses, threats, property destruction are all my daily events!
@Haley WOAH IN KINDERGARTEN. I wonder what she heard from the people around her somebody gotta be telling her that
@Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 you never know these middle school kids coming up are something else. I subbed for a period of time (nearly 3 years ago would now be 7th graders) nearly made half the staff on the level quit when I was there
I was an after school daycare teacher for a month. It was 25-30 kids, ages 5-11 years old. The majority of the time, I was the only teacher in there & I was hired on as an assistant teacher. I had no experience with more than 2 kids at a time & that was only through babysitting. I had 4 out of 5 siblings in my class & these kids were BAD. They straight up tried to fist fight in my class 🤦♀️ Needless to say, that was only one of several situations that had me in tears twice before I finally never came back. 🥴🤣😭 it wasn’t for me. This was before I was even a parent.
@MIA❤️🔥 GIRL THE PEE AND POOP I haven't had to deal with it but my teacher bestie did. This child had to go into the safe room (7 yo) for jumping another child and flipping desk. He then pooped in the room , shoved it under the door, and yelled "eat my shit bitch" . Mean while my room is NEXT to the safe room and I had to smell it for the rest of the day.
@Katie girl if you could have handled the 30 you definitely can handle like 2. Also WOAHHHH WAY WAY WAY out of ratio. In a daycare setting for one teacher dealing with 5 year olds you really should t have anymore than 18 kids. REPORT THEM TO CPS
ITS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! & holy hell lol. that’s relatable. our safe room is also next to my classroom so we hear it ALL
@Katie actually wrong I checked the Google and it's actually 1 to 14 SO EVEN WORSE . The max should be 2 to 28

@MIA❤️🔥 AHH girl it's because you're also sped much love to you!!! You understand
I agree! And I honestly knew that at the time, but don’t know why I didn’t say anything. I really needed the job at the time. They hired me like a week or two before doing a background check on me & the room didn’t have a first aid kit. This was almost 8 years ago, so I don’t know how things are there now, but they definitely broke a lot of rules there back then.
Former teacher here! I've got stories. Hopefully I'm allowed to share this one...it's bad...so I had this one kid in class. Quiet kid, but polite (or so i thought). Anyway, he disappeared for a few weeks, turns out he was suspended. When I found out why...ugh..!!! We had a guest speaker come, who happened to be a black man. My student created his own wifi that everyone could see and titled it "Get this [racial slur] off the stage" 🫠🫠🫠 12th grader. This happened in school, the number of my students who have been arrested and jailed outside of school...breaks my heart that they went down those paths...
@Katie oof I get it sometimes you just do what you have to do. I would of had a holy cow plus some
@Grace oop ain't no way. It's always the quiet ones you gotta watch out for . They are always the sneakiest. And the wild part is with kids that age it could have been as something as stupid as a dare
It was bad, and it was like...he became more proud of it after he came back 🙄 i remember his first day back in class, him sitting there so smugly as other kids were asking him about it. Then he wrote his senior research paper on why confederate monuments should be left up...had confederate flag stuff on him, etc. (This happened in Indiana, not in the South)
Oh! Another student (this was when I was student teaching) told my supervising teacher, her co-teacher, and I that he would never respect us because we are women 🫠🙄 few years later he popped up as someone i might know on Facebook. He's married now 🙃
@Grace you got some scary ass children 😅 at least mine are just mildly annoying and dumb. I have a student with a cash app card with a wonderful "deez nuts" design he created and I SWEAR for the past two years he will tell anyone who will listen the "I can tap deez nuts, tap deez nuts, and insert deez nuts"
Let’s just say I’ve have never recommended that daycare to anybody in the area lol.
Also, in the daycare class, somebody thought it was smart to bring a guinea pig or hamster or something into the environment. They disrespected that small animal’s habitat & actually trashed it. It angered me so much. They had no respect for me, themselves, their classmates, the class pet, the classroom, nothing. That classroom had been through 3-4 teachers in a year. It was no surprise. One student had Down syndrome & was treated like crap by the other students. I was constantly going to bat for her. She was a typical 10 year old girl who just happened to have DS., but I swear I was the only one who stood up for her & treated her like she was just like any other kid & kids & teachers alike were put off by that. I want to get back into the daycare life, but I hope it isn’t like how that place was.
My son has asd and goes to an sen school so all three unfortunately. Some of it gets pretty bad. I’ve had a phone call that he was eating bugs in the playground or that he’s taken off all his clothes and won’t put them on again. The last phone call was that there was a blocked toilet and he put toilet tissue that was in there in his mouth. We’ve also had visits from the police three times last year about various things although one of those was because he refused to get out the taxi to school.
I work in a nursery (3-5 year olds) the amount of kids we’ve had tipping/throwing furniture is crazy 🫠
All of the above
I was working at a daycare as an after school teacher. One little girl was rolling around showing her panties. I of course got onto her because we are ladies no matter the age. Told her this new aged way of thinking about having to show skin was not it. Told her you can be fully dressed and still be beautiful/ pretty. Said "Look at me I'm fully clothed and still beautiful." One boy in particular proceeded to yell " Hell yeah looking like a baddie!" Then the little SHIT-taki slapped my butt. I just can't with these kids🤦🏿♀️
@Katie Wowow disrespecting you is one thing. Kids yeah they suck for NO reason sometimes when even more so in those type of environments. It's just wrong and they just need a lot of TLC and structure . (Also thinking holy crap how big is this room to put all those children in it to be able to function properly) however, like DUDE for real the pet !? Like that thing can't do nothing for it self 🙄 leave it the fuck alone. DEFINITELY do your research first . Check their step up to quality ranking . It used to be 1-5 now it's like silver Bronze gold whatever whatever . After sending my daughters to Kindercare (I know I know terrible idea but I'm in a smaller town and not many daycares were accepting at the time), it was just AWFUL , I wouldn't put them in anything under a gold star.

@Karen I tell you what I promise you even though it might not seem like it but if you are as consistent and loving with your child at home I PROMISE it will make a difference overtime. I had a MD student (my first year as a paraprofessional in a sped school) he was a little rough, but I heard stories of him throwing things, screaming, scratching, flooding the bathrooms, anything you name it. I ended up changing classrooms the next year (unfortunately different situation and the lead was a terrible person to adults and went through 13 other aids ) this child at times still screams for like 5 minutes at the beginning of the day and the rest hes fine. He's smiling going down the hallways saying hi to EVERYONE of course by their first names. Playing with other children and adults. It takes time but it's possible
@Katrina do the shelves not have anchors attached to the wall???
@Kenosha OOP I would have side eyed so hard . Also why this little girl not have shorts on under??? My children don't go ANYWHERE where I think they could be playing without at least spandex shorts.
Shelves yes but I mean furniture like tables and chairs
That was my first thought. As a little girl she should have been wearing shorts under her skirt. But no, flowy skirt and undies. Mind you it was like 50 degrees outside.
I was a daycare lead for ages 2/3 and this one girl would stubbornly hamster cheek her food and REFUSE to swallow/spit it out for like an HOUR. I've never been so frustrated with a kid and she did it everyday (and caused soooo much drama in the classroom otherwise.) but I know her home dynamic is the only girl with a lot of brothers and she's just undisciplined at home. But it would drive me BONKERS
@Tiffany One of my little cousins did this when he was 2. It used to drive me crazy cause he would fall asleep like that. One day I tried to be slick and get it out as he was napping.. I can still feel how hard he bit me to this day 😂 I said never again will I try and help you out. Funny thing is he stopped shortly after.
@Kenosha yeah I think she did it to purposely disrupt naptime, because obviously I can't let her nap with food in her mouth. She was definitely the problem child out of those 16 toddlers in my room 😅
@Tiffany they really be testing your patience right off the bat 😂
I’m not a teacher, but the stories I hear from my own kids are wild. There’s definitely a reason teachers are leaving the profession in droves.
