At 12 months, babies get their main source of nutrition from solid food. However, milk is still important for calcium, which helps grow strong bones and teeth. Some children don't get all their milk teeth until 7 years of age. Children should consume lots of yoghurts and other calcium rich foods like cheese as an alternative to milk if they don't drink it.
