Newborn constipation 😩

I have the same with my little girl she is 3 weeks tomorrow and she is struggling to poop can hear her trying to go but when you check nothing I'm giving her tummy rubs like they advice som times works and other times it doesn't hate when she doesn't go you get anxiety as you're like it can't be right for them not to poop and can't be good in the long term maybe speak to your midwife of health visitor I got told to mention it to her doctor at her 6-8 week check up if she is still struggling ad they might want to give her a laxative xx

My first had this and I tried sooo many different formulas including prescription formulas for cmpa and the best formula we found was actually goats milk formula it's very gentle on their tummies and easier to digest. Used it on my second and now my third bubs who is 3 weeks old and it's been great. Might be worth a try?x

Tummy rubs, bicycle legs, warmer bath. Within half hour biggest 💩 ever.

@Becky it’s horrible isn’t it! This is day 4 and she actually doesn’t seem too bothered by it, I probably am more bothered as I feel it’s not normal! My health visitor said if it’s been 7 days go to the hospital, I think I’ll call the GP Monday if nothing by then! But laxatives seem so extreme for a 2 week old 😩xx

@Amy I wish I could say the same 😩😩😩 might try a longer warm bath tonight!

@Tasha it's so horrible I speak to my health visitor and she is like have you done tummy rubs and a warm bath I'm like yup I have tried all that and even left her without a nappy and nothing she just looks at me and is like keep doing it I'm like well okay then bit ita not been working for 3 days now but I will keep doing it she hates been in a bath so can't keep her in it long as she screams the house down 🤣 she hates been naked
