Advice on weaning

Same here! My little boy is happy to try finger foods (mostly), but absolutely refuses to eat purées and will only eat yoghurt when he can self feed! He’s also EBF x

@Hannah she doesn’t even do that, most she’s had is the peach and banana purées but that’s it

My logic is he will eventually take to it and I’m sure your little one will too! All babies just do it in their own time I think ☺️

Have you tried just putting the odd finger food on her high chair tray (no plate) and just sort of ignoring her (or pretending to) maybe while you eat as well? That helped my boy. Basically take the pressure off and they see it as a game / play. No need to actually swallow anything just picking it up and touching it to start with. She probably can sense a little that you'd love her to eat if you know what I mean? Or even just sit her on your knee with some bits on the table - basically all in a really low stress environment. I'd even not use a bib initially so that she doesn't feel like it's too alien x
