My 3rd was on newborn teats right up to giving up bottles at a year old. She always struggled with the faster flow teats
When we had our 6 week check the midwife told us to go onto size 1. Last Sunday we went onto a size 2 only on feeds that we had gaviscon in, we’ve spent the rest of the week getting him used to size 2 always. My advice would be take the feed nice and slow with regular breaks, try alternating teat size with 0 then 1 to get her used to it. My little boy is 10 weeks for comparison 🥰
When they take longer to feed like over half an hour then try going up, but make sure you change all the teats or they will get confused
We never used 0, we started on 1 for 2 months and then at 2 months just gone we went up to 2 xx
a week ago (he would’ve been 9weeks old) we changed to the 3+ months teats because he was falling asleep on every feed and not finishing it, meaning he was working to hard, his feeding was all over the place and he would get stress during the feed. They’re the usual cues x
It takes them a while to get used to the different size tests, I’d give it a week or 2. Also pace feed at the start so they don’t gulp it down and get used to the flow x
my first is 15m and we’ve never gone up from size 0 or 1, some babies don’t need to go up a teat size, i’ve not stopped her, she’s just always been fine and if you think a breastfeeding baby can’t change the flow of mum nipple x
My boy is 9 weeks and is still on 0, we tried on size 1 and he seemed to struggle a little so went back to size 0 again, he finishes his bottle in 15- 20 mins so I guessed it's still okay as its not taking him too long to drink it x
