@Audrey ok so not so bad, if I include feeding times she’s probably averaging 3.5 hours of sleep in between meals, but yes the nurses told me to not let her go longer than 4 as their blood sugar can drop and they’ll have issues gaining weight, I’m curious to see what she weighs at her 2 week appointment on Tuesday
Same here! I was waking her up every 2-2.5 hours for the first week but the last two weeks I let her sleep no longer than 4hrs. My dr said most will tell you they need to eat every 2hrs but if baby is gaining weight no need to stress and baby girl definitely is lol 3 weeks old and already 10lbs
We average 2-3 hours. During the first month it's ok to go 4-5 hrs once/day, but otherwise medical professionals will say to wake them up to eat more often. I never woke my first and she was an amazing sleeper, but she still ate every 3ish right at the beginning. Average wake windows at this age are 30-90 minutes, including feeding and diaper changes.
