Clingy Morning Toddler
My 2 1/2 year old son has been waking up the last couple months extremely clingy, if he wakes up when we do he has a meltdown and will throw a huge tantrum if we walk away to go to the bathroom and some days runs into the bathroom trying to climb up onto us. It's been such an exhausting process because we wake up wanting to start fresh and have a good day and the thing he wants that would keep him calm is completely out of our control because we need to get ready for the day. Is this normal behavior for this age? How have/would you go about this?

If you have to hold him while you pee so be it lol. I miss when my son would want cuddles at that time ☹️
I just accepted that clingyness. He won’t be like that forever. Do you have a toddler tower so he can be right where you are at counter level?

I excepted the space invader stage, it doesn’t last long. Just accept it because soon enough they wouldn’t want you, my sons 3.5 years and only cuddles me for a minute then he leaves ☹️
