Food

Hey. So my daughter has always been breastfed and tried lots of different food from 6 months! In February I went back to work for 3 days and during the day she is fine drinking cows milk and then I come home give my milk and then milk before bed. However this past month she’s had vomiting and diarrhoea so she went of her food for around 5 days and only drank from me which luckily I have milk still then we went away and she picked up and started to eat more however she has caught a chest infection last week and hospital said her throat was inflamed so she hasn’t ate again now for 5/6 days other than just a little bit of yoghurt! She’s finished her antibiotics and is still snotty but better than she was. She literally does not want food and I’m so stressed thinking is she going to just think now she can have milk all day and not eat 😳 Anyone else 15 month old just not interested in food or even sitting in a high chair. She’s only 16 pound also

Same boat with my son! He has always been petite but he is sick and going on day 4/5 without eating good. Our pediatrician is always reassuring saying he is getting what he needs and to keep offering often and keep fluid intake up. Our son hated the high chair so we changed the kind we had and that made a difference but we also made the high chair fun and let him have a few table toys that stick to the table, and we don’t pressure foods either. We let him explore and eat how much he wants and when he throws on the floor or turns his head away he’s done. Hope she starts feeling better soon!

Mine was 99 percentile in weight but only in the 50 for height… as you can imagine she was chunky. She now eat less milk than she used too but. She Will only eat 1-3 bites a meal most of the Time or sometimes just refused everything except fruits, yogurt and cheese… she has thined out sooo much (still chunky tho) and we are trying to make her eat more but she just won’t

It’ll be okay!! My girl got really sick with vomiting for about 5 days last month and she only had breastmilk then. I worried about the same thing, but once she was feeling better then she was ready to eat again! It took a few days after her vomiting stopped for her to get back to normal eating habits but I’m sure that was mostly just due to waiting for her appetite to return after being sick
