Have you went up a teat size?
@Rachael yeah tried bottle change teat size change different cups different types of milk different temperatures
How upsetting, I was finding it hard to get milk into my wee man, and dropped a bottle and that helped. We also use carobel to thicken his milk and it was a bit of trial and error getting it right. Are you thickening to help with reflux? Are you using carobel? If so how much are you using with how many oz of milk?
@Rachael we've been perscribed carobel but not for reflux it's becasue he could be aspirating so got to try find this out and he only has milk in his food hes not on any bottles x
A few things we tried - Going up another teat size (this is what it was for us, we had to go from size 1 to size 3, this was when he was 6 months, he’s now 10 and on size X. We use Mam) Is gradually building up the thickness an option? I’m not sure if it would be in your instance, would def check with GP or HV. This helped us. When we started my LO was on 6oz of milk, I did one bottle a day with 1 scoop, then 1 and a half, then 2. Then moved up to 2 bottles a day, 3 bottles a day etc. took about a week to get all bottles on the 2 scoops. I hope this helps or you get the suppose you need! X
If there is a medical reason for him needing the liquids to be thickened, then I would reach out to your GP to ask for suggestions/ support.
