@Laura I’m finding it really difficult to determine if my LG has failed or not. We’re on day 4 and this afternoon/evening she’s been so upset and tearful but I could probably put that down to at least two other things! Is it something I can pause and pick back up again?xx
We did the milk challenge at 5 months as I wanted to know before weaning, I was given the tip by someone else on here that the adjustment is 2 weeks. We were panicking and unsure around the 1 week mark but after 10/12 days he settled and has been fine ever since. So I'd say if you aren't sure then keep going, if you are sure then obviously stop! We did the transition very very slowly but he still settled after that time and is now fully cow formula.
@Amy thank you! I’ll continue for now and see. We also wanted to get it sorted before weaning but unfortunately we weren’t able to 😕 which just makes it hard to determine what the issues could be as now there are a range of possibilities!
It's really hard! Honestly I still panic about it all the time even though he's been on cow formula for over 2 months so that sprinkle of cheese on his omelette isn't going to be doing anything 😂😂
My LG has CMPA (and a soya allergy). She’s combi-fed and we did the home milk challenge to confirm her milk allergy (she failed it as her symptoms returned) xxx
