Eating

My LO is an awful eater. Has been for about a year now and it sucks! He is full time at nursery and they say he eats really well (assuming it’s monkey see monkey do type situation). I am getting so frustrated with it all though. Seeing other kids eat when we go out and mine opting for blueberries or chips only 😩 we have tried EVERYTHING- leave the food with him, different seating positions, different routines, different meals, separating foods, mixing it. Name it we’ve tried it. Is anyone else’s kid like this? He’s full time at nursery and a big part of it is so that we know he actually eats a full meal! Half terms and bank holidays are hard because then he won’t eat for an extended amount of time. I know he’ll eat when he’s hungry etc but he’s never had a full meal with me and I feel like such a failure!

We can get anything and everything sweet down him. Breakfast generally fine too. But will only do chips and cheese or those cheese cracker things by dairylea. So so difficult. Glad to see we’re not the only ones! So so isolating this no eating thing!

Same boat🥺

Blueberries and chips are my son’s fav too 😂. When ppl ask what does he eat I say potato, any kind. He slowly has started eating things as he’s clearly hungry and will pick something from a plate but he tends to like it for a couple weeks and then don’t and it’s something new. This is a new thing, he used to straight up not eat. So I’m now thinking he’s moved on from being a non eater to just typical toddler fussiness 🤷🏽‍♀️
