Bad experience with new toddler bed?

Hey ladies just checking in if anyone has had a challenging time transitioning from cot to a toddler bed? We got our girly a gorgeous bed which she loves and is really excited about but when it comes to bedtime she has started to get really upset when we leave the room and is waking up multiple times during the night and again doesn’t want us to leave the room etc.. Last night we were up most of the night. She was pretty much sleeping through the night in her cot. Any tips? Xxx here she is very excited with her new bed
