Breastfeeding mamas.. help pls

I’m really struggling with latching. I’m averagely endowed but with a bigger areola and struggling with getting baby to get a big latch. FTM and don’t know how to remedy this. My nips are cracked opened.

Go see a breastfeeding consultant. Ask your health visitor to signpost you or find someone locally. I visited a breastfeeding counsellor twice early on and they are literal game changers!

I did. Baby was very well behaved with the consonant and back to square 1 when I’m by myself

Ask to see the breast feeding team thete brilliant and really helped us x

Ask to see someone again, use silverettes between feeds to heal your nips and try doing the rugby ball hold for a while until baby has got the latch down xx

Yeah, i’d be going back again! It was like that for me but the second visit helped even more. it’s a learning process.

I kept going to see the infant feeding team too and then eventually got breastfeeding support to come to my house so they cud see how he latched. Mine had a tongue tie that went undetected to begin with so it was a big relief when they finally spotted it. Start using lanolin cream and deffo rugby hold for the win! Keep going back for help, I had at least 5-6 visits to finally get him to latch properly. That’s what they are there to help u and baby feed x
