Birth experience (tear / episonomy)

Hello! For moms that has given birth. What are your experience with crazy tears and episonomy during your first pregnancy in London NHS? On NHS site they said it’s uncommon for an episonomy but wondering if a lot of mom went through that and what are your experiences in terms of pain during birth and post birth heal.

I had a episonomy & suction & forceps. I had an epidural & healing was nothing short of painful! Was horrible to sit down and pretty sore for a good few weeks. X

I had a 2nd degree tear. Everyone said it would be better in a couple of weeks, it was more like 6-8 weeks to be able to walk comfortably, and 12 months before it felt somewhat normal.

I had a second degree tear. For me it felt weird but it felt 'normal' after a few weeks.

@Jennifer I guess it differs with each woman. I'm 5 months pp and it feels normal

I had episonomy, they didn’t tell me what degree tear I had, i felt ok it healed well and no major problems
