If mine refuses food I stop looking at him and eat some of his food (or pretend) then he wants it...or sometimes I have to pretend to dip his spoon in my food so he thinks we have the same thing😅
@Nicole ms Rachel worked for 2 days and she would eat while watching but now she just watches but won't eat
@Kerry tried it and she is very interested in my food and seeing me eating but when I offer she refuses
We have the same right now.. I thought it was just me, I’ve tried everything!! Recently was told it can be quite normal and not to stress out, just to keep offering foods and they’ll slowly come round ..but I feel like it’s gotten worse if anything! Then I went to the Health visitor and they said to starve her and not offer milk, only food again, which didn’t feel right as she doesn’t care, will just keep crying till I give milk My little one has lost weight too, I wish I had some advice, but just know you’re not alone!!
Would she eat food if it's really milky? Like Weetabix or porridge made with formula. Maybe try making it quite runny so the consistency isn't as lumpy. My baby was quite slow to solids, eventually he started to like breakfast, banana pancakes and Weetabix mixed with berries are a big hit, and then gradually he started eating more for lunch, but even now he doesn't really eat dinner, so I think it is normal for some children to take longer to like solids. He still has 4 bottles a day and the HV told me I need to wean him off but I can't seem to do it! Once you find something she really likes to eat it should improve - for me it was banana pancakes with yoghurt. If you're sitting at the table, does she ever look at what you're eating? My only other advice would be to let her try whatever it is you're eating even if it's not mealtime for her. I was out for lunch with mine the other day and he refused his lunch but I started giving him bits of my panini that I was eating and he was hungry for that 😂
Try some banana mashed up well, or banana breakie pouches from Lidl they taste really good. Try sticking to one taste at a time till she takes to more! I would also try put a movie on or have something to distract her while she eats because the focus isn’t on you trying to make her eat then, possibly try waiting a couple minutes before trying again to feed her if she refuses
