Night time nappy Changes

I change her nappy before every feed which can be every 3-5 hours. Does anyone not do a nappy change for urine?! How long do nappies generally hold urine for?! TIA

We change before every feed, typically. It has the benefit of waking him up for the feed too. Of course, we also change if there's a need in between. Interested to know though if it can be skipped at night.

I always change before feed even if it's just a wee, worry if a poop happens and the capacity is taken with wee it will result in a much more traumatic poonami full change 😂🫣

Last night we trialed not changing his nappy during the night as it wakes him too much. We changed it at 0:51 then 7:08 and it held pretty well with no leaks. Would only do this in the night though, during the day it depends on how much he's awake, its usually before / after a feed or sometimes it can be every 2-3 hours

i would change when it seems full but sometimes i don’t use any wipes just change the nappy. this way she doesn’t wake up usually.

They don’t hold overnight. One night my LO slept so well, I didn’t change him and it leaked. The nappy is the Aldi one. Baby is 6,5 weeks old. This taught me a lesson. So have to change for urine at least 1-2 a night and use a thick barrier cream to prevent nappy rash.

Following on from Zhuldyz comment, we also use the Aldi Mamia nappies, woke up to a very very fully nappy and it held fine. It's all about trial and error. Try it if it doesn't work out you know not to do it moving forward x

Thanks everyone xxx
