Potty training

We’ve been there for 4 months so I’m hoping for tips too 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

We're on 6 months of pooing in his pants! He'll wee on the potty/toilet but very very rarely poos in the potty. It's driving me insane. We're on daily laxatives in case it's constipation but it's not really helping.

My first was potty trained for pees at 2.5 years but it took another 6 months for poos. He would ask for a nappy and then poo in it and we’d take it off. He was getting so anxious about it that we just took the pressure off. I think just after he turned 3 we did some rewards for the first few times and never looked back. We also read lots of books about poo and pooing and normalised it in our house.

My lo was scared to go on the loo so we just made sure to fully reassure, sat his potty in front of tv for distraction and sat on flopr with him, an arm round to reassure, sometimes a belly rub too and a hug if he was struggling, lots of praise and a little choc for reward and then after a week he was off by himself to the toilet
