If it doesn't make sense on paper how is it going to make sense in real life? 😃 Roland maybe
Ryland?
Ryder with Lee as middle name
I'd say Ryland. Orion and Riley are two distinctly different names, and I would never guess Riley was a nickname of Orion. What is your daughters name that Riley makes no sense?
I don’t see where you get Riley from Orion maybe nicknamed Ry. If Riley doesn’t work with your daughters name there’s no point giving him a name that you never going to call him.
My daughters name ends with leigh, which is a different spelling of ley basically. So having opposites spellings seems stupid. As for naming him something and calling him something else is a preference thing I think 😊 Some people like nicknames!
I don't understand the problem if you only plan on calling him Riley anyway. Most people are going to hear the names, not see them. So if having saying Oakleigh and Riley doesn't sound weird to say, then I'd just go with it. Personally, it's so much weirder to give your child a name you never plan on using. Especially considering the name you want is a name on its own. If it was Teddy or Benny or something, then that's a bit different. Have you considered 2 middle names, eg; Rye Leigh James McDonald nn Riley? I also agree with whoever said Rylan/Ryland Leigh/Lee nn Riley. I'd just use Riley, though, if you love it ☺️
Rylin or Rhylind is all I can think of!
