I really don’t want to bring her in my bed but I didn’t get a Moses basket or anything as I thought the next to me would be fine x
I don’t have a Moses basket either I just use the bassinet from my pram set in the living room down stairs, was really helpful. And to start with me and my partner took shifts of being awake and holding our little one on sofa down stairs and slowly increasing time in the bassinet and then transitioned to the next to me crib 😊
I might have to try this tomorrow as it’s 20 past 1 in the morning and she’s not slept yet and my partner is asleep
My baby was born on Tuesday and won't be put down either, will only contact nap. No tips but I think it is quite normal. Decided tonight to take shifts with my husband, I'm doing 9-3 and he will do 3-9 to get some sleep each, but it has meant he'll have to use some formula to feed her
My partner has already gone to sleep and just keeps telling me to leave her but I can’t it’s awful to hear he so unsettled and upset I feel awful because I feel like I’m doing something wrong
You're not doing anything wrong! It's not fair to leave them to cry it out they are so young and used to being held in you all the time, it's a big change. We managed to put her down for 30-40 mins last night using my t shirt in her moses basket, warming it with a warm water bottle, love to dream swaddle and a white noise machine. She was rocked a lot of the time but definitely progress. Really recommend the shifts, I feel so much better and got 5 hours sleep
I would definitely try swaddle sacks. Both my babies settled in their next to me amazing when we use them. We use the Tommee tippee ones x
We had this! I don’t know if it’s just our little one but it was a night light that saved us! It was like she didn’t like the dark and then with a dim night light she was off to sleep
We had the same issue the first few nights but my little one did then just let us put him down after a few nights so hopefully that’s the same for you! We were told that sometimes they find the spaces too big and that is why they don’t like to be in them, he let us put him in his bassinet before he let us put him in his next to me crib!
