Bed transition - help!
Tonight is my daughter's first night in her toddler bed. I'm due with baby #2 in July so we're starting the transition now to try to make it easier lately. We have a baby gate set up outside her door so she can open the door but can't get out and she keeps going and crying at it and shaking the bars. How do I make this easier on everyone? Is it similar to sleep training where I should go comfort her every 3-5 minutes? Any and all tips welcome, PLEASE!
It’s a tough tough transition it’s hard on both sides and it made me so sad for him to call out mama it’s gonna take some time and having you stay strong. I sat in there for the first time to let him know I’m still here for him. He opens the door and comes to us and I get up and just put him back letting him know it’s ok it’ll take some time but she’ll get there. Stay strong I know it’ll feel like heartbreak it’ll get easier. Now I ask him ready for bed he says yes and I give him his milk and we go upstairs and he’ll climb into bed and go to sleep I also use a nightlight with him and sound machine
