Mom shaming that doesn’t make sense

I just now had my boyfriends dad tell me that I’m a “bad mom” because I didn’t use a wipe on MY CHILDS PEE DIAPER he said if he catches an infection from the pee that it will be on me and if CPS ever asks him anything he’s basically gonna bash me anyways this man is concerned about the wrong thing there’s kids literally sit in their poop diapers for days now that is a bad mother and that is someone who needs their kids taken away I feed my kids and bathe them almost everyday

Let me tell you girl , I dont use a wipe EVERY SINGLE TIME he pee’s . Yes some may say it’s nasty or wrong but I found that using a wipe trapped more moisture inside the pamper and caused more rawness . So CONTINUE TO DO YOU 👏🏼👏🏼 if I used a wipe everytime he pee I would have literally no wipes at all lol . When I dont use a wipe I take another pamper and fan his area so he can get some fresh air down there . And he’s perfectly fine 💯screw them ! Continue doing what works for you and your little one ✨

I barely ever use wipes for pee diapers. 🤷‍♀️ tell your boyfriend’s dad that he can mind his own business or he won’t see his grandkids again. 💯

I use the dry part of the diaper unless it's the morning pee or he's been sitting in it for longer like on a trip or something I agree, tell him to back off or that they won't see them again How'd your boyfriend handle him saying this to you? He should be defending you

I don’t! In reality neither do we! Lol we wipe ourselves w a DRY wipe after we go! I only use it if the diaper is super wet. Fuck him

@Melanie, difference is we go in a toilet so it doesn't go all over our butt like it does in a nappy.

I would definitely be using a wipe or, as someone else said, the dry part of the nappy, gently wiping, or patting clean. On the few occasions, I haven't wiped my son, he's wound up with a rash, I've seen it a lot in early childhood education, too. You definitely aren't a bad mum, though, and he way overreacted.

You should’ve asked your boyfriend’s dad if he wipes himself every time he pees. 🙄 I didn’t use wipes every time I changed my son. A lot of times I just wiped with a warm cloth in the morning or if he peed a lot to conserve the wipes but still feel like he’s clean. And a little fun fact most daycares I’ve worked up also didn’t use wipes for pee for boys. Girls yes but not always boys.

That’s not any of his business!!!! Tf? I didn’t always use a wipe every pee diaper. As long as he’s bathed regularly and well kept he’s fine. Your boyfriend’s dad can take several seats down.

you tell that man he had his turn to raise his own babies! i don’t think i know a single mom that wipes every time on a pee diaper. if anything that’ll just make the baby more prone to rashes! you’re doing great mama!

I never wipe for a pee diaper. Wiping too much can cause rash. I let her air out naked a lot and we take a water bath almost every night. Never had a single infection or a diaper rash. He sucks im sorry

I have 3 kids and have never wiped for a pee diaper unless they are visibly wet from like an overnight diaper where they have peed a ton. None of them has ever had a rash or infection because of it lol

It scares me how much your boyfriend is willing you throw to under the bus like that

That’s insane that he would even say that to you I’m sorry

@Hannah when you are on your period and if u use a pad the blood sits there like it would in a nappy. After i gave birth i had to wear one and neither occasion did I use wipes 🤷🏾‍♀️ the rash doesn’t come from pee it comes from prolonged sitting in the moisture of the skin. Wipes can actually make some rashes worse too. Wiping isn’t a magic cleaning solution

@Melanie, I did, in fact, wipe because it's unhygienic not to. I just used toilet paper. I still wiped though, which is my point.

@Amanda, this comparison makes no sense. He would pee in a toilet and shake to clear excess wee. A baby in a nappy sits in the wee. Very different things.

@Hannah imagine believing a shake will completely dry yourself and not still put pee on your underwear that you now sit in all day. The diaper is absorbent meaning if you don’t let it get full and you constantly change the diaper the wetness doesn’t stay on the skin. Underwear is not absorbent it’ll keep your pee, sweat, etc.

@Amanda, there is a difference between a tiny dot of wee and a nappy full. I'm not going to argue this. If you'd wipe yourself with anything, wipe your child.
