Nappies

Could the nappies be a bit big? My son is on 98th percentile and only just gone into size 6 in pampers pull ups. My almost 3 year old nephew is in size 8. So could it be he’s leaking because they’re a bit loose or would you say they fit snug? Xxx

@Alicia They're a bit snug but we can't find any nappies bigger. I'm not a big fan of pampers because when he was first born we had a few problems with pampers. We've tried using the nighttime pull up pants but they didn't work either xx

You can get disposable boosters on Ama (like pads, without the sticky bit) to put inside the diaper to add more absorbency without going up or changing brands.

Does he wear a poppered vest?

@Cherise as in one of the long sleeved ones but with no legs? I'm asking as this is what always caused us nappy leaks at night! The nappy wouldn't have enough room to expand because of the poppers compressing it. We sized up in vests and it solved it for us. Whenever he started leaking at night again that's when we knew we needed to size up vests again.

@Rebecca He wears them but with short sleeves. We have just ordered some bigger sizes because he's growing too damn quick 😂 I'll see if that's better. Thank you!!

@Cherise yeah the sleeves won't matter, I was just trying to make sure I was thinking of the right thing. Hopefully that helps for you!

My 8 month old has the same issue with aldi nappies, I don’t think they hold as much wee as she doesn’t seem to do it with other brands. I find the brand Rascals to be quite good for those through the nights ☺️

You could try putting 2 nappies on or absorbent pants over the nappy to stop him leaking out?
