Breastfeeding times

Some babies are really quick feeders and that's fine! The length of the feed doesn't indicate how much they're getting.

My son was about the same as your girlie! He’s a very fast feeder, sometimes not often but generally about every 2.5 hours! As long as she’s gaining weight and having 6+ wet nappies a day she’s absolutely fine x

My girls 5 months and she only feeds about 5 mins at a time sometimes 10 mins but that’s all xx

@Skye @Lauren @Charley ok that’s great I actually feel so much better already that other babies feed like my girl , all u see online is the girlies( bless them ) with over supplies or babies that feed practically all day not as much of the little ones who barely on the boob 😂 Thankyou all tho ! Xx

Baby feeds around 5 mins if sjes hungry but up to 45 mins if shes sleepy. When were out and about and there's a lot going on, she's very efficient. Feeds anything from 1.5 hours to 3 hours ish x

@Alana aw bless ! Bet that’s good for you tho get lovely sleepy cuddles and bonding time but when ur busy ur not feeling bad for rushing her ! That’s lush xx

Mine takes about 5 mins (thankfully)! He’s take 45 mins in the early days which was haaaaard

my LG is 6 months in a couple of days and she feeds every 2-2.5 hours and feeds for around 5-10 minute, used to be every 1-2 hours but we’ve recently introduced a dummy so she’s gone longer xx

Its hard to compare your baby to another but that sounds totally normal. The amount of time a baby nursers should decrease as they get older and are stronger and more efficient at nursing…. Getting more milk in less time. Then there will be days when baby is teething or under the weather and will want to nurse all day long lol. Sounds like you’re doing a great job following your baby’s cues and they are developing on track.
