Accidents are normal especially if you just started. Do not start over that’s the worse thing you can do. I would start making her sit on the toilet every 30 minutes even if she doesn’t pee, but just getting used to sitting on the toilet. The offer rewards that are small (I did m&ms, smarties) for every time they sat or even tried. Start learning when she’s about to have an accident or showing signs that she needs to pee. Mine would hold her butt. Then just carry her to her potty and have her sit. I heard on TikTok that blowing bubbles in water helps them learn to push. So maybe every 30 minutes have her sit on the toilet and practice blowing bubbles while she sits. Poop takes a little longer after pee. But once she learns how to pee, pooping should come next. Remind yourself that they’re learning everything and everything they learn takes time. But I’ve potty trained two kids already at the age of 2-2.5, and my son took to it really fast like a week and a half, and my daughter took about 1-1.5 months. She’s still sleeping in pull ups bc she still has wet pull ups when she wakes up. But if your baby sleeps in her own bed and shows signs of dry pull ups when that time comes, I would just let her wear underwear, and just have waterproof sheets 2x, and 2x sheets so if she does wet the bed you can just change them really fast and swap. But don’t stop after you started, personally I wouldn’t want to go through potty training twice bc I gave up the first time. It’s definitely not fun, but just be patient and persistent and it’ll click in her head.
I started potty training my boy now at two and a half and a week in he’s got a uti from holding it…. Ped. Says he’s not ready we are backing off for a bit and he’s now on antibiotics. Follow their lead is my only advice.
