Pumping frustration

So unfortunately I have to go back to work early while my newborn is still in her first few weeks but I’m only going to be gone for 4-5 hours today. I have been desperately pumping since last night to try and have enough for my partner to make her at least a few bottles while I’m gone. I am so sleep deprived so I came up with this “genius” idea to pump while I took a nap, but I woke up to all of my breast milk being spilled out of my pump and onto my clothes and bed😭 I’m so mad and frustrated and I only have a few hours before I have to get ready to leave and I’m not even sure if I have enough milk stored (6oz). I keep rehydrating and snacking and using warm compress but my milk just takes forever and barely makes anything after pumping for a long time. At this point I want to call in sick

do not skip a night pump! i didn’t do this with my first and am doing it with my second and i’m making so much more but yes stay hydrated and try supplements! your milk is still trying to regulate to

Mothers Milk tea on Amazon. Drink 5 cups max per day. Or make a big pitcher at once and sip whenever you can. At this point you might have to power pump to stimulate the milk. So every two hours. Not sure how much your LO is drinking but safest thing to do is assume your baby will eat 3-4 times while you’re gone and aim to meet that so if she doesn’t you’re fine

@Anna buying it now, thanks!

It helps a lot but it might take 3-4 days. I know it doesn’t give you the instant answer you need but :(

I made sure she fed a long time before leaving so fingers crossed it’ll keep her happy for awhile, I appreciate the help for the future though🙏🏾
