Feeding suggestions

Hi mamas! I’m doing a combo of pumping and formula feeding for my newborn. Right now, I pump 4 times a day and skip pumping at night so I can get a full sleep and wake up around 9 AM. This means there’s about a 12-hour gap between my last pump at night and my first one in the morning. Just wondering — is this okay, or will it hurt my milk supply over time? Would love to hear your experiences or any tips!

How many weeks has it been? I was told my supply would be consistent after 12 weeks. For 12 weeks I pumped around the clock every 3 hours and now I go without a pump all night since we’re also formula feeding at night and my supply hasn’t dropped.

@Shivani Patel I am in 3 weeks Pp and pumping 4 times a day!! How much supply is okay?

I don’t think there’s a set amount. It’s up to how much your baby is taking and if you have enough throughout the day. I do know you have to stay consistent in the first weeks to keep the supply otherwise it will go up and down depending on your pump sessions. I used to pump about 2-3oz every session which I did every 3 hours and it was enough for my baby’s feeding for the day and enough to create a frozen stash.
