Totally agree, feeling so nervous as my LO is sensitive and needs a lot of attention, isn't weaning great etc! We have our first nursery settler this week where we leave him for just an hour and I'm just hoping the settlers start to ease my mind. The nursery staff seem amazing and I'm just remaining myself that they're used to all kinds of babies too. Also my LO is one of the youngest so will hopefully naturally get more care as the older ones start to get a little more self sufficient walking around and stuff?? Maybe!
I was exactly the same, but found a good nursery I was happy with and now the LO is really happy when she goes there. The settling sessions were the most difficult for me, but you can see if your baby likes the place and the other kids.
I know it's hard, I'm dreading sending my LG when I go back to work, but I keep reminding myself that she's going to learn LOADS more than I can teach her alone, and she will benefit from the socialisation and other skills that she will learn there e.g. sharing, patience, language, communication, second language (we live in Wales and they speak Welsh in our nursery), creativity and imagination, independence etc. All of this will help when it comes to starting school in the future too. My niece did amazing when she went to nursery and I was so impressed with her development, so I keep that I mind when I get doubtful. I do get sad that when she goes to nursery, she essentially becomes her own person with a separate life to me for all of the time she's there, with different people in her life that she has connections with, but I can't deny her of that, that's just life. It will be just as difficult when she goes off to uni in the future etc. It's an important stage for her that I just need to accept.
I have twins (and a 4yo). I’d say they genuinely get more attention now I’m back at work and they’re in the care of a professional 😂
Honestly I can’t even bring myself to think about it too much
