Night feeds

How often does your baby go at night between feeds, I am 3 weeks pp and my baby would sleep all night if she could, we formula feed during the night and breastfeed during the day and wondered how long you do between night feeds

Once back to birth weight, I won’t be waking our little one

@Beth we have been waking her every 3 hours as she wasn't putting the weight on but now she has gone past her birth weight, how much formula do you give x

@Tiffany we used to wake her every 4 hours but then she wasn't putting weight on so was told to wake her every 3 hours but she has put the weight back on now x

If she’s put the weight back on, I wouldn’t wake her and see how she gets on! She may wake herself when she’s hungry some nights and not others! My first was like that We’re only 4 days pp atm and currently 10% below birth weight so a way off but will do the same and just not wake overnight, and only feed if they wake :)

3 weeks pp too! So far every night is so different! Some nights hardly wakes & we have to wake him up every 3-4 hours (due to weight loss). Lately going through a cluster feeding stage and will sometimes wake up after an hour or hour & half I do a mixture of breastfeeding and expressed breast milk given in a bottle

Thank you everyone for your answers, they all helped, she ended up waking herself up after 3 and half hours :)

My lb has only just gone bck to his birth weight too on the 17th he was only 7lbs 8 only gained weight by 2oz so the midwives couldn’t discharge me on the 24th he was 8lbs 6 so they could finally discharge me he was 8lbs when he was born , he is on 3-4 oz every 3/4 hours but past 2/3 days he’s been drinking the full 4 oz and wanting more so I have been doing 5oz but he throws that up so I think that’s too much for him , sv never had t wake him up for his his feeds just feed him when he wakes up !!

@Beth aw bless him, glad he is back to his birth weight now x
