Whats the rush? Could you not wait to get the weightloss shots til after you're no longer breastfeeding?
@Vee I would be dammmn scared the shot will go into my baby
If im breastfeeding for 1.5 yr i cant imagine being this large that whole time. I'm having a hard time losing weight. I've done body building weight comps trained my whole life meal prepped all of it and now i can't figure out anything that works I'm so big it's destroying my mental. So no i don't think i can just wait until I'm done breastfeeding to find a solution to help me because i can barely make it through the day looking like this. That's my rush. Because I'm uncomfortably large swollen extremities pitting edema i don't look or feel like myself at all it's taking away from me enjoying being a mother
Then stop breastfeeding. If you're child is 1.5 years old, they should be getting their nutrients from food.
"Then stop breast feeding" is a little harder said than done. Thats why i am torn on what to do or how to do this. My daughter is 3 months old, everyone out here where i live says you are supposed to breast feed at least 1.5-2 years old? I have nothing against formula my friends all have their kids taking it but i for personal reasons do not. So sorry kim no its not easy for me to just stop breast feeding out of the blue, and thank you for stating the obvious of where they get their nutrients from... anyway thats why i was asking for input if anyone had experience with this situation before.
If you're trying to justify harming your child, I can't be sympathetic to you. The fact is, it's not safe. You asked, several have answered.
And where was i justifying harming my child??? I asked if anyone knew knowledge or had experience with this. 3 including you voiced your opinion. Im not asking for your sympathy, and no where did i even insinuate harming my child how fucking dare you. Yes i asked the question and was told its not safe. As i wrote i was hearing conflicting things from multiple people, who are on it you voiced your opinion i get it move along. And dont ever accuse me of harming my child again.
Losing weight is hard. As a breastfeeding mother, you're likely to retain some weight due to the natural way our bodies handle it. The extra weight is there just in case of famine, so you'll always be able to produce the right nutrients. Never stop trying, eat whole nutrient dense foods, and nourish that baby. Your body took 40ish weeks to grow that baby, and many doctors say it takes at least that long to get back to normal. I even had one doctor it takes 2 years for all your hormones to settle. Breastfeeding is one of the most sedentary things you will ever do. You're likely sitting down for 40+ minutes every 2 hours, and sometimes you're sitting for 2 hours with only a 40 minute break. If you're feeding your baby, you're doing it right.
@Keylii thankyou for your explanation i heard also 2 years for women to fully recover. It definitely feels like a lot of sitting thats for sure🫠
It is not safe, and it would impact your supply. Edited to add that by going into a calorie deficit by means of the shot, you will most likely suffer vitamin deficiencies (common issue), which will also impact the nutrients in your breastmilk. Stay far away from the shots while bf
