Formula milk

My baby is also 5 weeks on cow and gate and only poos every few days. Only the last week I’d say he has been going every day, a bath always helps but same with mine he doesn’t seem uncomfortable so I haven’t been to worried x

Mine didn’t start pooing everyday until she went on to solids x

Please try to relax , my baby up until 3 months old didn’t have regular poop. In fact she would do it once a week only . We have changed milk about three times out of panic , and all for nothing . Eventually it happened more regularly but even now at 9 months old it’s once a day . I know that some babies do it multiple times a day but for my baby is the way it is and she is completely fine . I would say every baby is different , and yes it’s definitely her digestive still developing. My HV said to me that if it’s more than 10 day without a single poop it’s a moment to worry , under that it’s normal . GP says 7-10 days depending if your baby is in distress regarding it

My LO is also on cow and gate and we had issues about her not pooping regularly since birth - would only poop once a week. Spoke to doctors and they gave her laxatives if she goes more than 7 days without going and we’ve not needed to use it. She was given it at 4 weeks and currently at 14 weeks. She’s not uncomfortable either and seems to be going more frequent now about 3-4 times in 7 days

Thank you for the reassurance everyone. I think we’ll stick with Aptamil then and just be patient with his bowel movements unless we’re concerned x

Hi my baby girl is 7 weeks and also on Aptamil. She poops once in 3-4 days, but she is generally not uncomfortable. However I did start giving her diaper free time when she puts pressure and it helps her (though it’s a lot of cleaning for me 😂) also warm water bath helps but I don’t think this has anything to do with the formula brand.
