Sitting at the table

At what age roughly would you say your child can come out of the highchair and sit on a chair to eat at the table with you? Or what steps could be done to help this happen?

My daughter is 2 and sometimes she sits on our chairs at the table She's no longer in a high chair but she has a booster seat on the chair at the table

My daughter is 3 and has been sitting at the table with no high chair or booster since 2.5. The high chair kept making her abit angry as she wanted to sit on chairs like we do x

At 2.5 we got our little one a toddler chair. So he sits at the table with us but his chair is a bit higher than ours so he can reach the table properly

I would say just before 2 x

My little one has her own table and chairs that's she's just started using (she's almost 16m) has been using a table and chair at nursery for the last few months. I guess it depends on what you have available and what suits your little one

My son was 1 and using a booster seat on the dinning chairs, and by 18 months was just on a cushion. However, my daughter is 15 months and still in her highchair just because she's a wriggler and is very prone to accidents so will often likely fall off. It all depends on where you feel your little one is and how well they sit and get off etc

Both my kids were around 18 months x
