Nursery Drop-Offs

My 2 year old has always been a happy kid going to the nursery. She had chicken pox 2 weeks back and it has changed ever since. She cries a lot while dropping her but is happy while pick ups. To mention, she has also been shifted to Toddler room from Baby room a week before the chicken pox. Is this a phase? Will she be back to a happy kid while drop off?

It was a phase for my LO! She had a week off at Christmas, and when went back had changed rooms- due to her birthday. And for a couple weeks she cried at drop off! It was heartbreaking as she’d never cried before. But I messaged the nursery to ask how long it normally takes her to settle and they literally said instantly as soon as I was out of sight and they gave her breakfast with the other kids - she was happy again. Which I did believe as in the photos she was always super happy still. It’s probably just as she’s had the two weeks off? Used to being at home with you more? That’s what we put it down to anyways 🤷🏽‍♀️ hopefully will soon pass!!

Sounds like a lot of changes happened in a short time. She will adjust again 🫶🏻

My little one went through this after transition it was Christmas then he was poorly for a week then moved, it did take a few weeks but now he happily runs in and gives them cuddles hopefully its the same for your little one x
