Vests

My son is 19 months old today and I was wondering what is the best age for him to stop wearing vests under his clothes.

Picture of my little man so we don’t get lost.

I don't mean to give you a silly awnser but when it's not cold I'd say? I know grown men who still wear vests if their cold. My son won't be wearing them this week because we're in a hot country but otherwise he'd wear one x

I’ve stopped putting one on my boy now the weathers getting warmer but now he’s outgrowing baby clothes I’ll probs just stop buying vests all together!! You can get toddler vests where they don’t go under the legs, just like a non sleeve t shirts so I’ll probs buy them in winter but only if it feels necessary xx

I'll probably keep using vests for a while yet, as I find they help to keep the nappy in place. Can't imagine stopping for a while.

Yesterday I didn’t put a vest on my daughter and it felt so strange!! Nursery didn’t say she was cold and I was sweating all day so I know she was fine. Just a strange start 😂

Thank you everyone xx

There's no set age, just whenever works for you! We switched to pull over vests rather than poppered vests months ago now and he's not wearing a vest at all at the moment with it being so warm.

I’ve stopped when my boy was around 9/10m if he had them on i use them as a top only he’s 17m now so he never wears them no more. I’ve stopped putting them under my 4 month old now as the weather is hot if he wears them it’s that only and a pair of shorts but otherwise babygrows he don’t have anything under him x

We've never used vests (as in underclothes) and she's been fine. We used to use ones with the poppers with leggings and maybe a cardigan on top. From around one we started just wearing long sleeve tops. In winter we dressed her in little jumpers or sweaters or a cardigan if she had a cotton top on.
