Baby won’t nap 😭

How old is he? Have you tried a swaddle? Sometimes my little girl won’t go down without being swaddled or I have to put something over her eyes to stop her being overstimulated x

He’s 10 weeks old. He has never liked being swaddled, Iv tried his swing seat, the Moses basket, contact naps, white noise, dark room. He just won’t close his eyes 😭😭 but he is tired I can see he’s tired

I would try cover his eyes with a muslin

How long is he awake for? Are you going by a wake window or baby signs? I ask because a lot of suggested wake windows tend to be longer than a lot of babies can do and once they overtired it is almost impossible to get them to nap. Next thing is he probably just needs more support to sleep which is tough snd can sometimes take a long time but a lot of babies can’t just be put down and go to sleep but you can work towards this. So getting him down when he’s calm but tired is key and then doing things like bum taps and shh’ing, stroking head etc. And definitely a dark room. I know a lot of people suggest daylight for naps but a lot of babies are just stimulated by light and didn’t hard to go/stay asleep. As long as awake time is in daylight then naps can be in pitch black dark (blackout blinds). If you can get them to sleep in their sleep space with support like darkness, bum taps etc. then that’s better than transferring.

My baby is the exact same the last two days! Really really tired so I've been taking him on walks in the pram as when I put him in his moses basket, he sleeps for 10 minutes then wakes up like he's had a massive nap. It is exhausting!

I'm experiencing the exact same what works for me is hoover sounds really chills her out. Hold her for 20 mins then put her down. Doesn't work every time but most times.very fussy baby very hard to put down even at night only sleeps 2 hour stretches so I feel you
